Afternoon at Ives Lake Fundraiser

“An Afternoon at Ives Lake” fund-raising event in the Huron Mountain Club was well received by all 125 people who attended on June 11, 2006.  The day was beautiful at the former summer home and farm of John Munro Longyear.   The host, John P. Case, great grandson of J.M. Longyear, enthralled guests with the history of the Longyear Farm.  Over the course of the three hour event guests were able to walk the grounds, explore the Stone House, and were treated to excellent wine and hors d’oeuvres.  Watch for the next unique opportunity to explore the area and learn a rare bit of history!
